Wins in R300, RSA and RSB at a rain-soaked Donington Park.

After the disappointment of Oulton Park, it was a very determined James Sharrock that climbed into the car for a wet qualifying session. Leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that he was the man to beat, he was immediately fastest, and finished the session on pole by over a second. Jonny was suffering from a lack of time in the car but was still only half a second slower than P2 in fifth. Having never driven his new car in the wet, Simon took a cautious approach and kept out of trouble. Race 1 was a fantastic series of scraps throughout the field, with James taking victory after a superb last lap, and Jonny just missing out on another podium but winning his scrap with reigning British GT champion Jon Barnes. Simon steadily improved his pace throughout the race and brought it home for that all important signature. Race 2 was held in torrential rain, and James looked to have it all sewn up until a lapse at Starkeys let Barnes past, and the worsening conditions meant he didn't have the visibility to re-take the lead, but maximum points and fastest lap were no mean consolation. Jonny had a moment of his own on the last lap, spinning out of 4th avoiding someone elses accident and the learning curve continued for Simon.

A bad start for the team when the pressures of work and a testing accident on Friday meant Jamie was unable to race, and a wet qualifying session left Fauldsport without a driver on the front row of the grid for the first time in a year. However, Jonathan was in a personal best 8th just in front of Adam with JJ 12th and Simon 36th. A steady run in the wet meant Jonathan finished 8th, but race 2 saw he and Adam caught up in an early incident leaving them 10th and 11th at the finish with battered cars. JJ had his normal eventful race, the highlight being smashing one of the oldest lap records still standing on his way to 6th place. Race 3 on Sunday was held in torrential rain, but Adam got out in front and drove a fantastic race to be declared the winner when the conditions eventually prevailed and the race was stopped. I can't remember anyone looking happier after a race - well deserved! Simon was just relieved to get back in one piece as visibility in the pack worsened to dangerous levels.

No mistakes this time for Trevor - a convincing lead when the red flags came out gave him his 3rd victory of the year, but unfortunately the 2nd race was abandoned due to the weather, so he'll have to wait until Anglesey for number 4!
