From rebuilding a crossflow in his bedroom as a teenager Stuart Faulds has always had a passion for racing and motorsport engineering. Stuart has been involved in many areas of motorsport including rally driving and navigating. Stuart started supporting Caterham racing in 2001 in his spare time and gradually developed the company into a full time business. Here is a brief history of Fauldsport and its drivers.
2001 – Stuart Faulds supported Steve Knox in the Caterham Graduate Championship. Steve achieved victories in two rounds and two second places

2002 – After Stuart’s success in 2002 Rachel Green joined Steve Knox in the Caterham Graduate Championship and she stormed to championship victory with race wins at both Anglesey and Brands Hatch. Steve came a very close second with four race victories in total at Pembery, Croft, Mallory and Croix.

2003 – Both Rachel Green and Steve Knox stepped up to the Supergraduate Championship with the support of Stuart Faulds. Again it was a successful season with Steve Knox achieving third place with three podiums and a race win at Thruxton. Rachel Green won the first round in what was to prove a trying season for her.

2004 – It was in this year Stuart Faulds incorporated Fauldsport Ltd and the team took a huge step forward in Caterham motorsport. Both Steve Knox and Rachel Green upgraded to the Autosport Caterham Eurocup Championship. Also joining the team was 2003 Caterham Supergraduates Champion Simon Lambert. This was a hugely successful year with Fauldsport coming second in the team championship and Simon Lambert coming third in the driver championship, with back to back victories at Oschersleben.

2005 – For this season Paul Allen joined the team and with Rachel Green he competed in the Powertrain Caterham Challenge in their R400 race cars. The team took podium finishes with Rachel Green in three races and an overall fifth place in the team championship. Rachel also competed in two rounds of the Autosport Caterham Eurocup Championship, claiming back to back victories at Oulton Park and a second place at Spa Francorchamps. Fauldsport also built and maintained a car for Simon Lambert in the Milltek Sport BMW Challenge – pole on its first outing set the scene for a title-winning season, and we also supported Richard McCann on his way to 2nd overall in the Caterham Academy.

2006 – It was in this year that Fauldsport took a huge step by scaling back its racing activity and taking on the contract to support and maintain the BookaTrack.com Caterham fleet, while offering track day support to its large customer base. Fauldsport still supported Rachel Green in the Autosport Caterham Superlight Challenge where she achieved a respectable 6th place in the championship, with a second place at Donington Park. Rachel also competed in Eurocup rounds at Donington Park and Spa Francorchamps. This was the first year that Ford Cosworth engines were introduced to the Caterham R400 race cars and Fauldsport was a key part in the development of the engine and installation.

2007 - Rachel Green built on her successes in previous years with Fauldsport by coming second in the Avon Tyres Caterham Superlight Championship. Rachel also made Caterham Motorsport history by becoming the first woman to win a race at this level of motorsport. She was rarely off the podium all season, the highlight being victory in the last race of the season at Brands Hatch. James Sharrock joined the team to compete in his first Caterham Roadsport A championship. The highlight of James’ season was a podium finish at Oulton Park.
